The Jonard Tools MS-6 Mid span slitter is designed to open fiber Jackets and provide easy access to optical fibers in loose buffer tubes with 1.2 – 3.3 mm diameter. With 6 precision grooves to handle various cable sizes, The sleek ergonomic design allows you to open a fiber jacket or buffer tube without damaging the fiber. This tool is designed for use on the 3.0 mm cable and works great on PPC semi-flex 3 mm cables. It also works on Corning’s outdoor Altos loose tube, micro duct minixtend HD and minixtend cable with binder less fast-access technology, 3.0 mm cables, and on their indoor/outdoor freedom and LSZH loose tube cables having 1.4, 1.7, 2.5 mm buffer tubes.

This tool was specially designed for use on 3.0 mm cable and also works with similar style cables.
